What's a Lassi?

Lassi is Punjab’s original yogurt drink, churned cold and served next to everything spicy. Ours is the classic mango version: thick yogurt blended with real mango until it pours like a milkshake but drinks like something better. It has been the most talked-about thing on our menu since the day we opened.

That Color Is Just Mango

The mango lassi at most restaurants gets its glow from food coloring. Ours gets it from the fruit, nothing else. We don’t use artificial colors anywhere in the kitchen, and the lassi is the proof you can taste: yogurt, mango, a touch of sweetness, done. If the shade shifts a little from one week to the next, that’s just the mangoes talking.

How We Make It

1

Real Mango

Ripe mango and thick yogurt. The gold color comes from the fruit, never from a bottle.
2

Blended Thick

Churned smooth and kept ice cold until it hits your hand at the window, thick enough to need the straw.
3

No Dye, Ever

No artificial colors anywhere in our kitchen. What the mango makes is what you get.

Pair It With the Heat

A cold lassi next to a hot curry is the whole point. Spice your order 1 mild to 5 authentic hot and let the lassi do the rescue work.

Common Questions

What is a mango lassi?

A thick, cold yogurt drink blended with real mango. It is the classic thing to sip alongside spicy food.

No. The color comes from real mango, not food coloring, which is why it is a soft gold instead of neon yellow.

Yes. It is made from yogurt and mango, so it is vegetarian. It is not vegan, since it contains dairy.

It is lightly sweetened. Mostly it is yogurt and real fruit, so it is thick and cold without being syrupy.

Why Ours Is Different

We’re Arizona’s first Indian restaurant with no food dyes and no seed oils, and every meat in the kitchen is certified halal. The lassi is just the easiest place to see it: when nothing is artificial, you don’t have to hide anything.
