FRESH FROM THE TANDOOR

Garlic Naan

Hand-stretched dough, slapped onto the wall of a real clay tandoor, blistered in about a minute, then brushed with butter and fresh garlic. The bread every curry on our menu deserves.

Bread From a Clay Oven

We run five clay tandoors shipped from India, and the naan is why. Each one is portioned and stretched by hand when you order, slapped straight onto the hot tandoor wall, and pulled off the moment it puffs and chars. There is no freezer and no flat-top shortcut; if you got naan from us, somebody just made it.

Real Garlic, Real Butter

Straight out of the tandoor it gets brushed with butter and topped with fresh garlic and cilantro, so the heat of the bread does the cooking. One honest heads-up: naan is made with wheat, the one item on our menu that is not gluten free. It is vegetarian, and like everything we serve, made without seed oils or artificial colors.

How We Make It

1

Stretched by Hand

Dough is portioned and stretched to order, never rolled out ahead and stacked.
2

Onto the Tandoor Wall

It bakes stuck to the clay wall of the tandoor, puffing and charring in about a minute.
3

Butter and Garlic

Brushed hot with butter, hit with fresh garlic and cilantro, cut and handed out the window.

What to Scoop With It

Every entree comes with complimentary basmati rice; the naan is for everything the spoon misses. Feeding a table? Garlic naan comes by the pack: 10 for $30, 30 for $90, 50 for $145.

Why Ours Is Different

Most fast food bread comes off a truck. Ours comes off the wall of a 900-degree clay oven, in a kitchen with no freezers and no microwaves, at Arizona’s first Indian drive-thru. That is the whole trick: there isn’t one.
